23rd International Choir Festival of Tyrnavos
The 23rd International Choir Festival is organised by the Cultural Organisation of Tyrnavos under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture and with the support of the Regional Government of Thessaly. The festival is going to take place 11-14 December 2026. The festival will take place in Tyrnavos, Larisa in Central Greece.
Festival Identity of the 22nd International Choir Festival of Tyrnavos
- The festival is not a competition
- Every choir is welcome (children, youth, adults, mixed, equal voices etc)
- Any kind of repertoire is welcome (however, we would like 1-2 Christmas songs in the repertoire etc)
- All groups will receive photos and videos of the performances
Performances
- You can give 1 performance in the Municipal Theatre of Tyrnavos
- The piano will be on the stage
- Other instruments can be provided after the agreement (however, it is better if you carry them with you)
Masterclass
- You will participate in the Masterclass together with local and invited choirs
- We will all learn and sing 2 common songs
- We will all sing these songs in the performance
- All details will be arranged after discussion with conductors and artistic directors
Accommodation
- Accommodation will take place in hotel in Larisa
- Arrival on Friday, 11 December 2026
- Departure on Monday, 14 December 2026
- Accommodation can be prolonged or shortened if you want, after the agreement.
