7th International Folk Dance Festival in Tyrnavos – A Celebration of Culture
The Cultural Association of Tyrnavos organised the 7th International Folk Dance Festival, an important cultural event that brings together traditions and communities from Greece and abroad.
The festival will took place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Central Square of Tyrnavos, transforming the town into a vibrant meeting point of cultures, music, and dance.
This year’s edition features groups from Greece, Poland, and Georgia, offering the audience a rich program of traditional dances and musical performances:
- Traditional music and dance ensemble “LESZCZYNA” (Poland)
- Ensemble “MAMULI” (Georgia)
- Thracian Cultural Association of Eordea “Archigenis” (Greece)
- MES Averof “Thettalos” (Greece)
- Cultural Association of Tyrnavos (Greece)
Through music, dance, and traditional costumes, the participants highlight the richness of folk heritage and the power of culture as a bridge of communication between peoples.
The event was full of rhythm, color, and authentic tradition, inviting the public to take part in a unique experience of cultural exchange
